Pintaske J, Martirosian P, Graf H, Erb G, Lodemann KP, Claussen CD, Schick F. Relaxivity of gadopentetate dimeglumine (Magnevist), gadobutrol (Gadovist), and gadobenate dimeglumine (MultiHance) in human blood plasma at 0.2, 1.5, and 3 Tesla. Invest Radiol. 2006;41(3):213-221.

Relaxivity data reported in Table 2 of the original manuscript were not derived correctly from the measured data. The reason was that slight nonlinearities of R1 and R2 versus concentration in Gd-DTPA and Gd-BT-DO3A were not considered. Furthermore, relaxation rates of pure plasma were not adequately accounted for. In the following Table 2, corrected relaxivity data r1 and r2 are given. Remaining differences of the corrected r1 values to data published previously1 can be most likely attributed to inaccuracies of concentration determination and/or species-dependent influences of the blood plasma samples.

TABLE 2 (corrected)
The r1 and r2 relaxivities in human blood plasma (37°C) for Gd-DTPA, Gd-BT-DO3A, and Gd-BOPTA at B0 = 0.2 T, 1.5 T, and 3 T. The relaxivities were calculated for concentrations up to and including 1 mM.
